CPR World uses the secure Authorize.Net gateway for all transactions. For further information on our credit card processing security please click on the seal at the bottom of our website.
ALL STUDENTS MUST BE REGISTERED PRIOR TO 8AM THE DAY OF THE CLASS. WALK-INS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
Taking Renewal Courses Without A Current Course Completion Card
ACLS/PALS: Students may take the ACLS Renewal or PALS Renewal courses even if their current provider card has been lost or expired. However, students who can not present a current course completion card will not be given the option of "remediation"- therefore you must pass the skills testing and written exam on the first attempt or else you will be required to return to complete the full provider course (AHA Program Administration Manual, page 51).
BLS for Healthcare Providers: For BLS courses the renewal course is the same as the initial course. There is no separate course for renewal students.
CEUs (Continuing Education Units)
The ACLS full course and PALS full courses qualify for CEUs under the Massachusetts Board of Nursing. BLS courses, ACLS Renewals, or PALS Renewals do NOT qualify for CEUs. For other licensing boards please contact the board directly to check if the class you are taking at CPR World qualifies for CEUs.
Receiving Your Course Completion Card
Students will receive an email from the AHA within 24 hours of completing their course. Upon receipt of the email, you can log onto the AHA to retrieve your ecard. In some rare circumstances, there may be an unforeseen delay. Please contact us if you do not receive your confirmation within 24 hours and we will research it for you. Emails will be sent only if the ACLS or PALS Pre-Course Self-Assessment has been completed and given to CPR World.
BLS and ACLS
BLS for Healthcare Providers and ACLS are two separate classes with two separate course completion cards. BLS for Healthcare Providers covers several concepts that ACLS does not, such as pediatric/infant emergencies and choking. ACLS certification does not include BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
Renewing ACLS & BLS On The Same Day
Some ACLS Renewal courses have a "BLS add-on" option. For these courses, you have the option of saving time by renewing your BLS for Healthcare Providers certification on the same day as the ACLS Renewal course for a cost of $119. BLS add-ons last approximately two hours and are held directly after the ACLS Renewal course.
This option is offered only for ACLS Renewal classes that are marked with a (*) on our Schedule & Sign-up page.
Mixing and Matching 2-Day Classes
All 2-day classes (ACLS or PALS) are scheduled for 2 consecutive days. If you can not come on the Day 2 that is scheduled, you may attend Day 2 of another week's class if you contact us in advance to make this request. You must attend Day 2 within 60 days of when you attend for Day 1.
Leaving Classes Early / Coming Late
Please sign up for a class only if you are able to arrive at the scheduled start time and stay until the approximate end time posted on the Sign-up page. The required practical skills test and written exam are administered at the end of each course, therefore students may not leave early. Late students are admitted at the discretion of CPR World.

Code of Conduct

Liability Statement
Our courses may include physical strain, the possibility of cross infection, and emotional stress. If your physician has recommended that you avoid strenuous activity or limit your activity in any way, you need to realize that CPR is hard work. This is true both in practicing on the manikin and doing CPR for a cardiac arrest victim. If you have a medical or cardiac history that may be aggravated by the performance of CPR, you should consult your physician and ask for advice as to whether you should participate in a CPR course. If you have reservations about being able to perform CPR on a cardiac arrest victim, you should consider this before beginning the course. If you have recently had any type of infectious disease, including upper respiratory infection or open sores on your mouth or hands, it may be better to defer manikin practice until you are well. We appreciate your understanding these issues and using good judgement.
Audio/Video
When you enter the CPR World classroom, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording will occur. This will be used to continually improve delivery of educational material from instructor to students and for the validity of content being implied and inferred. Videos will not be viewed by anyone other than CPR World employees.
